Your messages are transmitted to the third-party AI services used to generate responses. You should not submit passwords, payment card details, security credentials or other sensitive personal information that is not necessary for using the AI Assistant.

Discord information

If you choose to connect your Discord account to 6AM, we may receive and store information provided through Discord's authentication process, including your Discord user ID and username. Connecting Discord is optional unless otherwise stated as part of a particular 6AM service.

Technical information

We may receive limited technical information through the systems and services used to operate 6AM, such as authentication, security and server logs. 6AM does not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity or similar advertising or behavioural analytics tools on the website.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Create and manage your 6AM account
  • Provide access to the 6AM programme and student portal
  • Process and manage payments
  • Provide onboarding and other booked services
  • Maintain your course progress and student records
  • Provide the AI Assistant

  • Send transactional communications, such as account activation, booking confirmations and important service information
  • Provide customer support
  • Maintain the security and functionality of our services

  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations
  • Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements
  • Improve and maintain the 6AM services

We do not sell your personal information. We do not currently use student journal entries or AI conversations for advertising, statistical profiling or research.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

Where UK data protection law applies, we process your personal information using one or more lawful bases, depending on the circumstances. These may include:

  • Contract: Where processing is necessary to provide the services you have purchased or requested, manage your account, process your payment or otherwise perform our agreement with you.
  • Legitimate interests: Where processing is reasonably necessary to operate, secure, maintain and improve 6AM, communicate with users, prevent misuse, protect our programme content, prevent account sharing, detect unauthorised access or protect our legitimate business interests, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Legal obligation: Where we need to process information to comply with a legal or regulatory requirement.
  • Consent: Where we specifically ask for your consent to process information for a particular purpose and the law requires consent. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before consent was withdrawn.

5. How We Share Your Information

We may share personal information with trusted third-party service providers where necessary to operate 6AM and provide our services. These providers act on our behalf or provide services that are necessary for the operation of the platform.

We may also disclose information where necessary to:

  • Comply with applicable law or legal processes
  • Respond to lawful requests from authorities
  • Protect the rights, property or safety of 6AM, our users or others
  • Prevent fraud, abuse or security threats
  • Enforce our Terms & Conditions or other agreements

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

6. Third-Party Service Providers

6AM currently relies on a number of third-party services to operate its platform. These include:

Supabase

We use Supabase for authentication, database services and file storage. Personal information associated with your account and use of the student portal may therefore be processed through Supabase.

Stripe

We use Stripe to process payments. Stripe processes payment information in accordance with its own privacy policy and terms. 6AM receives relevant transaction information from Stripe but does not store your full payment card details.

AI service providers (Google Gemini)

The 6AM AI Assistant is powered by Google's Gemini models, accessed through our hosting platform's AI service. Messages you submit to the AI Assistant are transmitted to Google for processing so that a response can be generated. Under the applicable API terms, your messages are not used to train Google's models. We store the resulting conversations within the 6AM platform so that the assistant can provide its intended functionality.

Discord

If you connect your Discord account, information may be exchanged with Discord as part of the authentication and connection process.

Email services

We use an internal email delivery system and related infrastructure to send transactional communications, such as account activation and booking confirmations.

Third-party providers may process personal information according to their own privacy policies and terms. We select providers that we consider appropriate for the services they provide and take reasonable steps to ensure personal information is handled appropriately.

7. AI Assistant

The 6AM AI Assistant is an educational tool designed to help students interact with and understand the 6AM Strategy. Messages submitted to the AI Assistant are processed by the third-party AI services used to generate responses. AI conversations are stored within the 6AM platform and are subject to access controls designed to restrict access to the student who owns the conversations. 6AM staff and coaches do not currently have access to students' AI conversations through the student portal.

You should not submit unnecessary sensitive personal information, passwords, payment information, security credentials or other confidential information to the AI Assistant. We do not currently use student AI conversations to train our own AI models.

Because the AI Assistant relies on third-party AI technology, we cannot guarantee that every AI-generated response will be accurate or appropriate. The AI Assistant is not a substitute for professional financial, legal, tax or other regulated advice.

8. Student Journal and Trading Information

The 6AM student journal allows you to voluntarily record information about your trading activity and learning progress. Journal entries are intended to be private to the student who created them. Access controls are used to restrict journal data to the relevant account. 6AM coaches and administrators do not currently have access to student journal entries through the student portal.

You are responsible for the information you choose to enter into your journal and should avoid entering information that is unnecessary for the service, particularly passwords, payment credentials or other highly sensitive information. We do not currently use journal information for advertising, statistical profiling or research.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

6AM uses technologies that are necessary to operate the website and student portal, including technologies required for authentication, account sessions, security and core functionality. 6AM does not currently use advertising cookies or third-party behavioural tracking technologies such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity.

Third-party services used by the website or portal may use their own cookies or similar technologies where necessary to provide their services. If this changes in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required, obtain appropriate consent before using non-essential cookies or similar technologies.

10. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. The period for which information is retained depends on the type of information and why we need it. We may retain information for purposes including:

  • Providing and administering your account
  • Maintaining appropriate business and financial records
  • Resolving disputes
  • Preventing fraud or abuse
  • Enforcing our agreements
  • Complying with legal or regulatory obligations

When information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to delete or anonymise it. If you delete your 6AM account, your account and associated portal data will generally be deleted through our account deletion process. Certain information may need to be retained where we are legally required or permitted to do so.

Device and account security records described in Section 2 are retained for up to 12 months, unless we need to keep them for longer in connection with an ongoing investigation, dispute or legal obligation, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

11. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. These measures include access controls, authentication controls and database-level security policies where appropriate.

However, no internet-based service can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and should notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

We monitor student portal access for signs of unauthorised use, including account sharing. You can view the devices currently associated with your account, and sign out other sessions, from the Manage Account page in the student portal.

12. International Data Transfers

Some of the service providers we use may process personal information outside the United Kingdom. Where personal information is transferred outside the UK, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that the transfer is carried out in accordance with applicable data protection law and that appropriate safeguards are in place where required.

13. Marketing Communications

6AM does not currently operate a marketing email programme. We send transactional communications that are necessary to provide our services, such as account activation emails, booking confirmations and important service-related communications. If we introduce marketing communications in the future, we will comply with applicable marketing and data protection requirements and provide appropriate choices regarding those communications.

14. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may have rights including:

  • The right to request access to the personal information we hold about you
  • The right to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • The right to request deletion of your personal information
  • The right to request restriction of processing
  • The right to object to certain processing
  • The right to data portability in applicable circumstances
  • The right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

Where a security flag is raised on an account, any resulting decision to issue a warning, sign devices out or suspend access is reviewed and made by a person. We do not make decisions of that kind by automated means alone.

These rights are not absolute and may be subject to legal exceptions. To exercise a privacy right, contact us at info@trade6am.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests. We aim to respond to valid requests within the time period required by applicable data protection law.

15. Account Deletion

You may delete your 6AM account using the account deletion functionality available within the student portal, where provided. You may also contact us at info@trade6am.com to request deletion of your personal information. Deleting your account may permanently remove your student portal information, including course progress, journal entries, quiz results and other account-associated information. Deletion does not necessarily require us to delete information that we are legally required or otherwise permitted to retain.

16. Children's Privacy

6AM is intended for individuals aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect or intentionally solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 18. We do not currently operate an age-verification system. Users are responsible for meeting the age requirement for the services. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from someone under 18, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information, subject to any information we are legally required or permitted to retain.

17. Third-Party Websites and Services

The 6AM website and student portal may contain links to third-party websites and services, including social media platforms and other external resources. Those third parties operate independently from 6AM and may have their own privacy policies and terms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security or content of third-party websites or services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you choose to use.

18. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our services, technology, legal requirements or data processing practices. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before making material changes to how we process your personal information.

19. Contact Us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, your personal information or how we process your data, contact us at:

20. Complaints

If you have concerns about how we handle your personal information, we encourage you to contact us first so that we can try to resolve the issue. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's independent supervisory authority for data protection. You can find information about the ICO and how to make a complaint through its official website.
